3690987 - 'competencyContents.entity.externalCode' missing in Job Profile-Competencies export file after Talent Intelligence Hub enablement

Symptom

  • The column "competencyContents.entity.externalCode " is missing in the "Job Profile-Competencies" export file post Talent Intelligence Hub enablement.
  • The column was previously available when using Centre of Capabilities.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Admin Tools > Import and Export Data.
  2. Select "Export Data".
  3. Choose the generic object "Job Profile-Competencies".
  4. Click on "Export".
  5. Open the .csv file "Job Profile-Competencies" from the extracted data.
  6. Observe that the column "competencyContents.entity.externalCode" is not present in the file.
  7. Compare and contrast with non-TIH enabled system.

Cause

In the Competency Content object the "entity" field visibility is set to "Not Visible".

Resolution

If you would like to show "competencyContents.entity.externalCode" column in export results, please change the "entity" field visibility to "Read only"  in "Configure Object Definition" tool (search for object "Competency Content").
