Symptom
- When attempting to add a G/L Account to a G/L Account Hierarchy in the G/L Account Node there are no G/L Accounts displayed from the value search.
- A user is adding G/L Accounts to an existing or new G/L Account Hierarchy there are missing G/L Accounts in the list.
- It is not possible to add general ledger accounts to a hierarchy as they are missing in the "F4" search.

Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Manage Global Hierarchies app.
- Create a new G/L Account Hierarchy or edit an existing G/L Account Hierarchy.
- Edit.
- '+' icon to add node.
- G/L Account button.
- 'From G/L Account'.
- There are missing or no accounts maintained in the value help.
- For example we can see the accounts in the G/L Master Data app.
- When attempting to assign these G/L accounts they are not visible in the value search. "No matching items found" is displayed.
Cause
The implementation status of the G/L accounts is not P therefore it is not applicable for assignment to the G/L Account Hierarchy.
Resolution
The implementation status of the G/L Accounts are marked as either N (Not Used) or I (In Process).To check perform the following
- Manage G/L Account Master Data.
- Add or search for the accounts that are not displayed.
- Go.
- Settings.
- Add view "Implementation Status in Chart of Accounts". As shown the accounts are listed as N (Not Used). To make these accounts for usage;
- Mass Change.
- Other Attributes.
- Implementation Status to P (Productive Use).
- Save.
- Open Manage Global Hierarchies.
- The accounts are now applicable for assignment within the G/L Account Hierarchy.
