3691055 - Unknown Error "cannot remove emailDetails/0 which has @removable=false" when deleting email address information - 2H2025

Symptom

In the Latest People Profile, when attempting to delete an email address without permission, an unknown error appears and the save action cannot be complete:

"cannot remove emailDetails/0 which has @removable=false"

Note:

The user has the following permissions:

Employee Data:

  • HR Information > Email Information View
  • HR Information > Email Information Edit
  • Business email > view

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log in to SF instance and proxy as ESS user with above mentioned permissions.
  2. Navigate to Contact Information portlet > edit.
  3. Attempt to delete via 'X'.
  4. Observe error:

Cause

Known defect.

Resolution

This is known defect and a code correction has been created to reflect if a row does not have the required permission, the delete button will not be displayed. The fix is planned for 1H2026.
