Symptom
Time entries recorded by service agents against the origin project of an intercompany project are not reflecting in the corresponding intercompany project.
Environment
SAP Business By Design
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Project Management.
- Open the Projects view.
- Search for and open the origin customer project.
- Go to the Work tab.
- Locate the service for which time was recorded.
- Verify that time entries exist for both an internal employee and a service agent for this service.
- Open the corresponding intercompany project linked to the origin project.
- Go to the Work tab in the intercompany project.
- Search for the same service.
- Observe that time entries are visible only for the internal employee, while time recorded by the service agent is not displayed.
Cause
This is standard system behavior. During intercompany processing, time recorded by service agents is not transferred because the company reference is cleared. As a result, only time recorded by internal employees is replicated to the intercompany project.
Resolution
- This is standard system behavior in SAP Business ByDesign.
- Time recorded by service agents is not transferred or displayed in the intercompany project. Only internal employee time entries are transferred and displayed.
