Symptom

  • Non-administrator users encounter the following error when attempting to publish a data product to SAP BDC:

Exception when creating or updating share(name=<share>): An error occurred while calling o441.get. com.common.client.DatabricksServiceHttpClientException: PERMISSION_DENIED: User <user_email> does not have READ permission on scope sap-bdc-connect-sdk to perform this action.

  • Necessary privileges have been added to these users.
  • Error does not occur with administrator users.
