3691575 - Welcome Emails not triggering for rehires from IAS - Onboarding

Symptom

Welcome emails are not triggered for rehire scenarios during the integration of Onboarding with IAS.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Integrate Onboarding with IAS for onboardees to receive welcome emails.
  2. Configure the conditions for triggering welcome emails for rehire scenarios.
  3. Observe that the welcome notification is not triggered for rehire scenarios.

Cause

The condition used in the configuration includes hire type, which prevents the welcome notification from being triggered.

Resolution

  1. In IAS > Identity Provisioning
  2. Source Systems > Select the SF instance
  3. Transformation > Switch to JSON editor
  4. Remove the hire type condition ['hireType'] == 'REHIRE_WITH_NEW_EMPLOYMENT'
  5. Save

Currently it is not supported to configure different templates for rehires.
