3691575 - welcome emails not triggering for rehire scenarios in IAS onboarding

Symptom

  • Welcome emails are not triggered for rehire scenarios during the integration of onboarding 2.0 with IAS.
  • The condition used in the configuration is incorrect, preventing the welcome notification from being triggered.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Integrate onboarding 2.0 with IAS for onboardees to receive welcome emails.
  2. Configure the conditions for triggering welcome emails for rehire scenarios.
  3. Observe that the welcome notification is not triggered for rehire scenarios.

Cause

  • The condition used in the configuration includes an unnecessary specification of hire type, which prevents the welcome notification from being triggered.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, there is no need to specify the hire type condition ['hireType'] == 'REHIRE_WITH_NEW_EMPLOYMENT'. for the rehire candidates
