3691808 - Dependent Personal information time slice misalignment when Global Assignment is created - 2H 2025

Symptom

Time slice issues observed for dependent personal information record when the "Is Accompanying" field in dependents section is set as "Yes" during the creation of a global assignment for a user, resulting in misalignment with the dependent personal information record. 

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Dependents Management
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Global Assignment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Add a global assignment for a user.
  2. Fill all mandatory details.
  3. Navigate to the dependents section.
  4. Update the "Is Accompanying" field to "Yes".
  5. Submit the global assignment.
  6. Navigate to the user's profile and observe that a new dependent record is created with a start date equal to the global assignment start date.
  7. Run the Check Tool > Employee Central Core > Dependents > "Personal Information exists in all time slices of a dependent’s relationship" check.
  8. Observe that the error is reported, indicating that the personal information record of the dependent is not aligned with the dependent's record.

Cause

Resolution

  1. The solution to this issue is currently under investigation. Please follow this KBA for updates.
  2. As a temporary workaround, re-import the personal information with the correct start date for all affected dependent records to resolve the issue.
