3691871 - Posting with only Quantity without Amount in Product Cost and Revenue App within SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• The system does not allow posting when the amount is zero, even though the quantity is non-zero.
• Validation prevents posting with zero amount, which is required for transferring quantities between cost objects without impacting transaction value.

     Error Message: Enter Amount

     Message No.: BK048

     Diagnosis: No value entered in the "Amount" field.

     Procedure: Enter a value in the field.

• Expected Behavior: The system should allow zero amount postings when quantity transfer is required.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 

1. Open Product Cost and Revenue app.
2. Post from one cost center to WBS element.
3. Ensure the quantity is non-zero.
4. Enter a value of zero in the Amount field and update the currency.

The system mandates that an amount be specified for postings, and the Product Cost and Revenue app does not support transferring quantities independently of an amount.

Currently there is no option that supports post quantity only without amount. At present, the quantity is always linked to activity postings, and when allocation is required, the corresponding cost allocation must also be included.
