Symptom
- Error message: "Error while creating PSE".
- Exception raised during the creation of a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) in the Maintain Client Certificates application.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Maintain Client Certificates app.
- Click on "Create New Certificate Signing Request" button.
- Enter Description and Name.
- Click on Create Signing Request.
- Error message appears: "Error while creating PSE".
Cause
Missing details of the Certificate Authority (CA), such as Organization(O), Country(C) or Org. Unit(OU), required for CSR creation.
Resolution
- Fill in the details of the Certificate Authority (CA), including Organization(O), Country(C) or Org. Unit(OU), to create the CSR.
- Refer to the approved list of CA under the SAP Global Trust List available at 2801396 - SAP Global Trust List - SAP for Me
