3691982 - Restore fails due to file header mismatch -SAP IQ

Symptom

  • Multiplex IQ database

  • IQ RAW data files without symbolic links (full path  /dev/vx/rdsk/....)

  • Backup ReadWrite and ReadOnly dbspaces

  • During the restore operation, the following error is encountered: 

    "Could not execute statement. File information retrieved from archive for database file /dev/vx/rdsk/xxxx/YYY does not match with file header.
    Restore will not be done. -- (db_backupCmds.cxx 2457) -1013183, ODBC 3 State='HY000'."

  • The error occurs when attempting to restore the database backup taken from IQ db back onto the same environment.

  • The restore operation fails immediately, referencing the header mismatch for IQ RAW db file YYY
