3692174 - Is it required to purge the candidate before restarting the Onboarding process? - Onboarding

Symptom

After cancelling the onboarding process, the system allowed reinitiating without requiring a purge.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Cancel the onboarding process.
  2. Attempt to reinitiate the onboarding process.
  3. Observe that the system allows reinitiating without requiring a purge.

Resolution

While it is not strictly necessary to purge the candidate, it is highly recommended to do so since purging helps prevent potential data inconsistencies. If the candidate is not purged, the system may still function as expected; however, there is a possibility of encountering errors during the process.

To ensure a smoother experience and minimize the risk of issues, purging the candidate before proceeding is advised.
