3692176 - Role-Based Permissions based on Route Steps not working for Variable Pay

Symptom

Role-Based Permissions based on Route Step is configured in Variable Pay template but some fields are not following the configuration.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Variable Pay

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Setup Role-Based Permissions based on Route Step in a Variable Template
  2. Launch forms
  3. Some fields are still visible/editable when they should not as per configuration

Cause

Fields not respecting Role-Based Permissions based on Route Step configuration are not entry fields.

Resolution

Only entry fields are supported for Role-Based Permissions based on Route Step, so whenever using it in a Variable Pay or Total Compensation (Bonus tab) template, the configuration will only apply to entry fields.
