Symptom
- While upgrading to SAP ERP 6.18 SPS25 (or higher) using the Software Update Manager (SUM), an issue occurs during the build of the shadow system.
- SUM halts in the phase ACT_UPG (DDIC Activation), where several SAP standard tables fail to activate due to duplicate fields in the table structure within the shadow system.
- The SP upgrade encounters the following errors with the LIPS table:
Activate table "LIPS"
Field "J_1BCFOP" in table "LIPS" is specified twice
Field "J_1BTAXLW1" in table "LIPS" is specified twice
Field "J_1BTAXLW2" in table "LIPS" is specified twice
Field "J_1BTAXLW3" in table "LIPS" is specified twice
Field "J_1BTAXLW4" in table "LIPS" is specified twice
Field "J_1BTAXLW5" in table "LIPS" is specified twice
Field "J_1BTXSDC" in table "LIPS" is specified twice
Table "LIPS" was not activated
- The same errors may occur for VBAP and VBRP tables.
