3692465 - Error Message received when switching quickly between Home and Calendar Work Centers in iOS device.

Symptom

Error Messages appears when you quickly change between Home and Calendar in the Mobile app for iOS.

Error Messages are outlined below:

  • "The Google service is not available in your region. If you are in China"
  • "Error in Error handling in MapPane: null is not an object (evaluating 'this.mProperties[a]')"

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer Extended App.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to the iOS App.
  2. Navigate to the "Home" menu.
  3. Switch to the "Calendar" menu.
  4. Switch back to the "Home" menu.
  5. Repeat the switching process quickly between "Home" and "Calendar" until the error messages appear.

Cause

On the "Calendar" page, the application checks Google Map availability. If the user switches between "Home" and "Calendar" before the request is completed, an error appears.

Resolution

  1. Switch between the "Home" and "Calendar" menu items at a normal pace to avoid triggering the error.
  2. Ensure that the application is given sufficient time to complete the Google Map availability check on the "Calendar" page before switching back to "Home".
