Symptom

Quote item custom field for product external ID not populated via script.

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Have a script that populates a Quote Item custom field with ProductExternalId.
  2. Attach the script to event  "OnItemAdded".
  3. Add the product to the Quote.

Cause

ProductExternalId is not being populated due to a bug in the application.

Resolution

  • Fix will be delivered in 2602.
  • The workaround is to set the quote item custom field based on product.ExternalId instead of item.ProductExternalId.
