Symptom

As part of SAP’s initiative to standardize and secure customer access, all SAP SuccessFactors HCM and Learning application traffic must be routed through Akamai. 

This KBA provides the necessary information to help customers identify and transition from non-standard URLs to supported Akamai-enabled URLs, ensuring compliance with SAP’s global network policy. 

  • Standard URLs  
    These are Akamai-enabled URLs that are secure, resilient, and fully supported.  
  • Non-Standard URLs  
    These URLs bypass Akamai and may lead to connectivity and security issues. They often include hostnames with prefix/strings such as “origin-” or use direct IP addresses, which are not supported
