3692876 - Transport Behavior of Number Range Number, Interval, and Status in SAP S/4HANA Cloud in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

Number range interval (From/To numbers) is not transported to the target system from configuration activity "Define Number Ranges for Sales Documents (ID: 102819)".

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Resolution

The different components of number ranges are treated differently in S/4HANA Cloud:

  1. Number Range Number (Blue):
    • Number range number must be transported to keep configuration consistent across systems.
  2. Number Range Interval (Yellow):
    • Master data can be maintained in all systems. As a service we transport from and to number together with the number range number. If we don’t face any overlaps in productive system they will be copied, if we face an overlap the number range number will be transported but from and to number will be empty and must be maintained in p-system manually.
  3. Number Range Status (Green):
    • The number range status is transactional data and therefore cannot be transported.

Follow the steps below to transport a number range from the Dev/Test system to the Production system:

  1. Select the number range that needs to be transported.
  2. Go to Menu → Interval → Transport.
  3. Select the appropriate transport request.
  4. Execute the transport.
