Symptom

  • Error message ???COMMON_DynamicContent_ValidationError_format_date??? appears when entering invalid data type in a date field within background elements.
  • The error message is displayed instead of the expected message: "Enter a valid date in the following format: {0}" in Legacy People Profile.

SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to the system and navigate to a user's background element.
  2. Select a background element and input an invalid value (e.g., "a") into a date format field such as "Start Date" or "End Date".
  3. Observe that the error message ???COMMON_DynamicContent_ValidationError_format_date??? is displayed.

Resolution

This is a known issue, and will be fixed in 2026 1H release.
