Symptom
- Error message: "You have exceeded the maximum date range of 31 days."
- Failure occurs when generating Change Audit Reports for October 2025 with the date/time range 01/10/2025 00:00 to 31/10/2025 23:59.
- Successful report generation when using the date/time range 01/10/2025 00:00 to 31/10/2025 23:00.
Environment
-
SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the Change Audit Report feature in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
- Attempt to create a report with the time range 01/10/2025 00:00 to 31/10/2025 23:59.
- Observe the error message: "You have exceeded the maximum date range of 31 days."
- Compare this behavior with other months where the same time range can be selected successfully.
Cause
- The issue is caused by the Daylight Saving Time (DST) transition, where the system clock moves backward by 1 hour on the last Sunday of October. This creates a "duplicate hour" within the month, resulting in a total of 745 hours, which exceeds the system limit of 744 hours (31 days × 24 hours).
Resolution
A patch to resolve this issue will be applied to Preview environments on 16th December 2025 and to Production environments on 18th December 2025 via patch deployment.
For more information on patches and their deployment, we recommend visiting the SAP SuccessFactors Patches Overview page (https://community.sap.com/t5/patches/tkb-p/hxm-patches) in our Community. There you'll be able to see the patch schedule as well as an explanation on how to verify if the patch was applied to your instance.
Workaround:
- Select 00:00 to 23:00 instead of 23:59 as the end time for the month of October
OR - Temporarily change the timezone of the device to a non-DST region (e.g., Shanghai, Tokyo), where the full range of October can be selected successfully.
