Symptom
- In Proxy Now, after entering the target user, the system keeps loading for several minutes.
- An error message is displayed: "An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support if the issue keeps occurring."
- When searching for an affected user in the Look Up Existing Assignments section of the Proxy Management page, the page crashes.
- This behavior is isolated to the affected users.

Reproducing the Issue
- Access the Proxy Now.
- Attempt to proxy a target user.
- Observe the error message: "An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support if the issue keeps occurring."
Cause
- The issue is caused by the user having a large number of expired proxy users assigned.
- When querying proxy users, the system must filter out these expired entries, which requires constructing a large filtering condition before executing the query.
- This process consumes significant time, affecting performance and resulting in an application error.
Resolution
- Extend the expiration time of proxy users or remove the expired users.
- Review the existing proxy assignments for the specified person and delete the users you want to remove.
- For multiple changes at once, use Proxy Import to update expiration times or remove expired users.
