This article describes how system creates and processes the automatic tasks for customer contracts.

Reproducing the Issue
When a customer contract is released, the system automatically creates following tasks for each contract item lines. These tasks are available in the Business Task Management view.
For example, contract ABC contains 2 items, both are filed with renewal rule. (ABC represents the ID of the customer contract.)
- Go to the Application and User Management work center.
- Go to the Business Task Management view.
- Search the contract ID, the following tasks are automatically created once the contract items are released.
- Automatic Activation of Contract Item ABC-10; status=Activation Scheduled.
- Automatic Activation of Contract Item ABC-20; status=Activation Scheduled.
- Automatic Termination of Contract Item ABC-10; status=Activation Scheduled.
- Automatic Termination of Contract Item ABC-20; status=Activation Scheduled.
When the start date of contract item 10 reaches, system activates the line and creates Automatic Renewal task for this Contract Item. Once this is done.
- Automatic Activation of Contract Item ABC-10; status changed to completed.
- Automatic Renewal of Contact Item ABC-10 is created with status as Activation Scheduled.
When the renewal execution date reaches depending on the Advance Creation Duration Period in the assigned renewal rule, the Renewal task is then executed. If the task is executed successfully the status of the task changes to Completed, otherwise Error. Open the task details and you are able to find the error details from the application log.
All the failed task executions are collected in the query ‘Automated Tasks with errors’ in Contracts view. Once the errors are corrected, you can click Reschedule button to execute it again.
When the end date of the contract item reaches, system executes the Automatic Termination task to set the validity status to Expired in the contract item.
