3693415 - Error "unable to assign assignee(s) for this activity"

Symptom

  • An error occurs when attempting to assign assignees for onboarding workflow activities, despite valid email addresses being present in the New Hire Data.
  • Error message: "Unable to assign assignee(s) for this activity."

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to the instance.
  2. Click on the nudge option for the "Provide Personal Data" task to observe the error.
  3. Click "Actions" and select "New Hire Data."
  4. Click "Continue" to reach "Personal Information" where a primary email address is listed as "Yes."

Cause
