3693777 - Error "BP role Customer still in use; deletion not allowed" when attempting to delete Customer role in Business Partner

Supplier role was created for a Business Partner, however, the Business Partner was mistakenly extended as a Customer with the roles FLCU00 and FLCU01. While one Customer role can be deleted, attempts to delete the remaining role fail with the error message 'BP role Customer still in use; deletion not allowed'.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open 'Manage Business Partner Master Data' app.
2. Open the Business Partner.
3. Attempt to delete the Customer role.
4. Encounter the error message: "BP role Customer still in use; deletion not allowed."

This is a standard system behavior.

• When a Business Partner has two Customer roles (FLCU00 and FLCU01), the system allows deletion of only one role. Attempting to delete the second role triggers the error message.
