3693912 - Error when creating job requisition from Position: Cannot find operator [CODE] - Recruiting Management

Symptom

When trying to create a job requisition from Position Org Chart, the user is getting an error:

Sorry, the requisition cannot be created. Creation of a job requisition for position [POSITION NUMBER] failed.

Cannot find operator [OPERATOR CODE] (RECRUITING_JOBREQ_FIELD_[OPERATOR NAME]) in template [TEMPLATE ID].

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Cause

The operator in question is mapped in the Position to Requisition Field Mapping business rule, but the operator is not configured in the job requisition template being used.

Resolution

When the rule has a mapping to an operators, the rule will always make the mapping for the operator.

There are 3 ways to fix it:

  • Add the operator to the job requisition template
  • Remove the operator mapping from the business rule
  • If you do have a requirement for this mapping for another Job Requisition template, adjust the rule to include an IF condition to change the field mapping by Job Requisition Template
