3693921 - Unable to Delete Employee Group due to Dependency

When trying to delete an Employee Group, the error message displayed: "Unable to delete the permission group that is used in existing permission roles. Before deleting the permission group, remove it from associated roles"

SAP SuccessFactors HCM

1. Navigate to Manage Employee Groups.
2. Attempt to delete any group in use
3. Observe the error message: "Unable to delete the permission group that is used in existing permission roles. Before deleting the permission group, remove it from associated roles. To check the associated roles, see the 'Granted Permission Roles' tab of the permission group details page."

This is a generic error indicating that the group trying to be deleted has dependencies - it is being used throughout the system. 

Check for any dependencies for this group and remove them if possible:

• Review existing compensation forms - If they are in progress or completed, it means the group is still in use. In those cases, only purging the forms would make the group available to be deleted.
• Review any worksheet using the group - it is necessary to purge, because even if deleted, there is still a dependency with the group.
