Symptom

  • Unable to revoke system privileges assigned by a different user ID in SAP HANA.
  • The revoke option is grayed out in SAP HANA Studio when attempting to revoke privileges granted by a different user ID.
  • Error message: "Could not execute 'REVOKE user admin FROM user1 GRANTED BY user2' SAP DBTech JDBC: [7]: feature not supported: GRANTED BY only allowed when revoking roles: line 1 col 8 (at pos 7)."
