3694239 - Determination Event Cannot Be Changed From Prehook to Post hook

Symptom

The determination event cannot be changed from "Pre Hook" to "Post Hook" after it has been created.

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

This is valid for all entities. Here we will consider Account entity.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Open Extensibility Administration.
  3. Navigate to Account Service / Account / Determinations.
  4. Open any existing determination.
  5. Attempt to change the event from "Pre Hook" to "Post Hook" or vice versa but it is not possible to edit the event.

Cause

Once a determination has been saved and created, the event cannot be changed from "PreHook" to "PostHook" or vice versa.

Resolution

  1. This is system expected behavior. 
  2. You can create a new determination with the same condition and assignment block and with required event (pre/posthook) and then delete the already existing one.
