3694336 - When creating a custom translation, some variables are not processed and displayed incorrectly

Symptom

When you try to configure a custom translation, you notice that at times variables are not processed

Environment

  • Employee time sheet

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Manage languages
  2. Go to custom translation you wish to use
  3. Edit the text associated with a label you wish to change
  4. After the translation has activated, you notice that some variables are not processed for example {2} and {3}

Cause

Incorrect symbol usage

Resolution

The Apostrophe character ' is treated as a special character for escape purpose in tokenized String, please use the smart quote (’) or two Apostrophe ' ' in your customization message.
