3694522 - Error message when sending Email Campaigns using Talent Pools - Recruiting Marketing 2H 2025

When attempting to send an email campaign, receives the following error message: “Recipients not selected. Please select recipients to proceed.”

This occurs when only a Talent Pool is added in the “To” field. If recipients are manually added, the email is sent successfully. However, when selecting only a Talent Pool, the error message is displayed, and the email cannot be sent.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing

1. Go to Admin Center → Recruiting → Marketing.
2. Create a New Email Campaign.
3. Leave the “To” field empty (do not select Manually Add Recipients or Talent Pool).
4. Try to send a Test Email. Result: Error message displayed – “Recipients not selected. Please select recipients to proceed.”
5. Add a Talent Pool in the “To” field, following the steps from KBA 2807711:

   • In Recruiting, go to Candidates → Talent Pools.

   • Select one or more talent pools from the list.

   • Click Actions → Add to Email Campaign.

   • Select an email campaign and click Submit.

6. After adding the Talent Pool, try sending a Test Email. Result: Error message displayed – “Recipients not selected. Please select recipients to proceed.”
7. Add Manually Add Recipients in the “To” field, following the steps from KBA 2807711: On the Candidate Profile, in the Email Campaigns portlet, select the desired email campaign for the candidate and click +Add.
8. After adding the manual recipients, try sending a Test Email. Result: The test email is sent successfully.

Engineering team is already aware of the issue and is already working on the fix. This KBA will be updated once the implementation date of the fix has been confirmed.

Note: As a workaround, users can save the campaign, go back to the main Marketing tab, click into the same campaign again, and then clicking "Review Email" will work with a Talent Pool but no Manually Added Recipients. The error only appears to be on the initial setup.
