3694526 - Workflow error: Update existing MDF record

• Error occurred when transitioning the workflow.
• Error message: "Unable to transition the workflow."
• Error message details: "Unhandled error while preparing or performing service layer call."
• Error message details: "Failed to process generic objects for EC service layer save."

• Workflows - Configuration, Tools, Objects & Rules

Submit a workflow triggered by OnSave rule that aims to update data changes to MDF Object (e.g Time and Attendance).

• As per engineering team, the error will be thrown due to product limitation.
• As of the current system design, we can only support create new MDF object and cannot update existing one.

• Product Engineering is investigating a solution.
• Tracking of progress can be seen thru ECT-244859.

Workaround:

Delete the existing record of MDF object from there re-submit the workflow.
