3694921 - 'Approvers' field for HRBP step is empty when users are submitting an approval request

When trying to register in a class or self-assign any item that has an approval process, the step that routes the request to the users' HRBP has the "Approvers" field empty.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Log into HCM > navigate to Learning Administration > References > System Administration > Approval Processes >
2. Create an approval process that uses the default approval role HRBP >
3. Assign the approval process to an Instructor-Led item and its associated classes, or assign the approval process to any other item >
4. Make the entities available in the libraries >
5. At the user side, search for the item in question and look at its classes >
6. Navigate to the desired Class Details page > click on 'Register' and the user gets prompted to the approval process steps >
7. Notice that for the HRBP step, the 'Approvers' field is empty, and the user can manually search for what it seems to be any user from the tenant.

This happens when the user that needs to submit the approval request doesn't have a HR Business Partner configured at the user record. To check it, please:

1. Navigate to Learning Administration > People > Users >
2. Search for the affected user and access its record >
3. Click on the 'Actions' button > Assign Alternate Managers >
4. In the pop-up, is possible to check the user's manager and also any alternate managers associated to the user.

IMPORTANT: Please note that alternate managers added manually (Direct Reports and Approvals) have different permissions that an HRBP (which is configured via connector).

Please add the HRBP relationship to the affected users by using the User Connector - SF. If assistance is needed while configuring and using the connector to do so, please reach out to your company's Partner (2149831).

Once the affected users have an "HR Business Partner" configured, the respective 'Approvers' field will be populated accordingly once the user tries to submit an approval request which contains an HRBP step.
