Symptom
- Cannot to set the number of decimals on the axis label of a chart.
- Axis label values display with inconsistent decimal places, like: 0.1, 0.075, 0.25...
- The chart values are formatted correctly with the specified number of decimals, but the axis label does not reflect this formatting in SAP Analytics Cloud.
Environment
SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.21.6
Reproducing the Issue
- In SAP Analytics Cloud, create a story.
- Add a chart, like a Line or Stacked Bar chart based on a model containing data with measures that have decimal values.
- Format the values to display a specific number of decimals on the chart.
- Set the chart to display the y-axis label.
- Observe that the values on the chart display the specified number of decimals, but the axis label values show inconsistent decimal places, such as 0.1, 0.075, 0.25.
Cause
By design, trailing zeros for decimal values are not displayed for the chart axis label, therefore this is why values like:
0.100
0.075
0.250
Will display on the axis label of the chart as:
0.1
0.075
0.25
Resolution
- There is currently no option to set the number of decimals to display for the chart axis label values.
