3695001 - Field values being wiped out while saving draft application in Internal Careet site

Symptom

When saving draft application in Internal career site, while the presentEmployer field being set to Yes, latest entries made in the background element sections and other changes made in the job application are being wiped out.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management (RCM)

Reproducing the Issue

Go to Internal Career Site
Open any Saved application or create a draft application for any job
Make changes in the application and fill values in the background element sections.
Go to Previous Employment section, set the field value of presentEmployer to 'Yes' while the End Date/To Date is being hidden based on the configuration: 2876582 - How to Configure the End Date Validation in Background Elements - Recruiting Management - SAP for Me and fill the other fields in the section.
'Save' the application while the presentEmployer in previous employment section is set to Yes, then all the latest changes made in the job application will be wiped out.

Cause

The data from the draft application is updated to the existing and already submitted applications (snapshot not taken) and profile leading to data corruption and data loss which is causing issues for the candidates who apply for the diverse roles due to this sync process.

Resolution

Engineering team have created an enhancement request to change the backend sync behavior of the reported issue. At this time, there is no confirmed date for the fix or timeline proposed. For updates on this enhancement please contact your SAP Customer Success Partner or Account Executive.

Additionally, this reported issue has been fixed for the new Reimagined Candidate Experience. As a workaround, you can enable Reimagined Candidate Experience for a seamless, efficient, and user-friendly application process.
