3695011 - SAP HANA installation or upgrade fails on RHEL 9.x with sapstartsrv startup errors, ports already in use and unix domain socket /tmp/.sapstream* errors

Symptom

During SAP HANA installation, upgrade, or component deployment, the process fails with one or more of the following errors:

  • Cannot create Instance
  • Cannot start sapstartsrv
  • Waiting for sapstartsrv failed: timeout reached
  • Tcp port '5<instance>13' is already in use
  • Tcp port '5<instance>14' is already in use
  • Cannot establish http connection to unix domain socket '/tmp/.sapstream5*' (No such file or directory)
