Symptom
During SAP HANA installation, upgrade or plugin deployment (for example AFL/APL), the process fails with one or more of the following errors:
- Cannot create Instance
- Cannot start sapstartsrv
- Waiting for sapstartsrv failed: timeout reached
- Tcp port ‘50013’ is already in use
- Tcp port ‘50014’ is already in use
- Cannot establish http connection to unix domain socket ‘/tmp/.sapstream5*’ (No such file or directory)
- HDB start or stop returns “unauthorized” or permission related errors
In addition, customers may report that:
- HANA processes restart automatically after being killed
- The installation does not reach lifecycle management steps
- The file sapsysinfo.zip is not generated under /tmp
