3695024 - Integration Service Center Job for Identity Service Gets Automatically Deactivated Every 6 Days

Symptom

  • The SuccessFactors Integration Service Center job for Identity Service is automatically deactivated every 6 days without any manual action.

  • Identity-related integrations stop running once the job is deactivated.

  • Replication processes are interrupted until the job is manually reactivated.

  • The issue occurs repeatedly, even after manual reactivation.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Configure and activate the Identity Service integration job in Integration Service Center.

  2. The job runs but fails repeatedly in the background.

  3. After 6 consecutive days of failures, the integration job is automatically deactivated by the system.

  4. Identity-related integrations stop functioning until the job is manually reactivated.

Cause

  • This behavior is expected system behavior.
  • The integration job is automatically deactivated by the Integration Gateway Service (IGS) when it fails for 6 consecutive days.
This is a built-in IGS feature designed to reduce unnecessary system load and prevent continuous failing executions.
  • The job deactivation is not caused by manual action or configuration changes, but by repeated failures of the underlying events.

Resolution

  1. Manually reactivate the deactivated Identity Service integration job.

  2. Review the provisioning and real-time synchronization logs in Identity Provisioning Service (IPS) to identify the root cause of the failures.

  3. Address and fix the errors shown in the provisioning logs to ensure successful executions.

  4. Once the underlying issue is resolved, the integration will remain active and will no longer be automatically deactivated.

How to Check Provisioning Logs

Refer to the SAP Help Portal guide for detailed steps on reviewing provisioning job logs, including real-time logs:

Additional Information

  • This automatic deactivation mechanism is part of the standard IGS framework and cannot be disabled.

  • Preventing repeated failures is the only way to avoid automatic deactivation.

  • The issue is environment-independent and can occur in test or production systems if failures persist.
