Symptom

  • Runtime error occurs while converting a Purchase Requisition (PR) into a Purchase Order (PO).
  • Error message: "/sap/opu/odata/sap/MM_PUR_PO_MAINT_V2_SRV/$batch – HTTP 404, service not available."

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access the Process Purchase Requisition application.
  2. Select a Purchase Requisition (PR).
  3. Click on "Create Purchase Order".
  4. Click on "Order".
  5. Observe the runtime error and error message displayed.

Cause

The issue was caused by the presence of special characters in the file name attached to the Purchase Requisition (PR).

Resolution

  1. Ensure that the file name attached to the Purchase Requisition (PR) does not contain any special characters other than underscores.
  2. Rename the file to remove special characters if necessary.
  3. Retry the process to convert the Purchase Requisition (PR) into a Purchase Order (PO).
