3695086 - Unable to Restrict User Access to Reverse Journal Entries in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

The reverse option keeps showing despite having set a restriction in Maintain Business Roles.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Manage Journal Entries app.
  2. The Reverse option is available for all users regardless of restrictions.

Cause

The old business catalogs of Manage Journal Entries (Deprecated) is used instead of the business catalogs of Manage Journal Entries - New Version.

Resolution

    1. Open the relevant business role in the Manage Business Roles app.
    2. Adding business catalogs of the Manage Journal Entries (New version): SAP Fiori Apps Reference Library.
    3. Navigate to the IAM Apps.
    4. Search for IAM Apps with "Reverse" functionality and deactivate them.
    5. Save the changes and assign the role to the relevant users.
