3695198 - Email language does not respect the correct locale

I have set my default locale and it's not English. I can receive workflow cc emails in my local language, but I receive workflow approval emails in English, instead of my local language.

First, please confirm which workflow action the email is for. Step approval and final approval use different email templates. 

Let’s assume the email is for step approval. 

• • Go to Admin Center -> Email Notification Templates Settings, select the Workflow Step Approved Notification template.
  • When you open the template, switch to your local language, for example, Chinese.
  • If you see a reminder that says “You do not have a template created for the selected language, this is the recommended {selected language name} locale template",
    • It means you haven’t saved the template in the language. The content shown in the Email Body is just provided as a locale template example. It will not be used until you save it.
    • You can click “Save Changes” with no edits. Then this template is confirmed and it will be available for use.

• For final approval, you should edit and save the Workflow Action Approval Notification template.

Additionally

• For those templates you have already saved, you won’t see that reminder.
• The reminder is language specific, which means:
• • A template can be available in many languages, and when you switch to language A, there might not be reminder, but when you switch to language B, the reminder might appear.
  • If you see the reminder, it indicates you haven't saved the template in that language.
• There’re 18 standard workflow email templates, with one template for one workflow action. We recommend editing and saving all templates for your language. Otherwise, English US will be used for those templates lacking a localized version.
• The language English US is an exception. Though you may see the reminder for a English US template, the template is available for use even without being saved.

Save the template for which correct language is not used in email again.
