A mismatch was reported between the amount displayed in Manage Customer Line Items and the amount shown in Merit Customer Aging Report for the same customer and invoice.

1. Access the Manage Customer Line Items application.
2. Compare the amount displayed for a specific invoice in the transaction currency.
3. Access the Merit Customer Aging Report for the same customer and invoice.
4. Observe the recalculated amount based on the exchange rate valid on the Key Date, which differs from the original posted amount in the transaction currency.

This is standard behavior. The aging process for Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) starts by setting a key date, usually the report generation date. The system reviews all open customer items for AR and all open vendor items for AP.

It calculates the due date for each item using the defined payment terms and a baseline date, such as the document date. The item's age is then calculated relative to the key date. If the due date has passed, the item is considered overdue, and the system calculates the number of days it has been outstanding. If the due date is on or after the key date, the item is classified as current or not yet due.

The system allocates the outstanding amounts into predefined aging buckets, such as 0 days, 1-30 days overdue, or 31-60 days overdue. These buckets are configurable to meet specific business needs, providing a clear breakdown of outstanding balances and aiding in the management of overdue payments, upcoming liabilities, and overall financial liquidity.
