3695847 - Creation of Organizational Units via OData API Is Not Supported

Unable to create or update Organizational Units or Departments using the OData API. 

SAP Cloud for Customer 

1. Create or assign a Department using the OData API.

2. Use the endpoint /sap/c4c/odata/v1/c4codataapi/EmployeeOrganisationalUnitAssignmentCollection.

3. Send a POST request to add a Department via this collection.

4.  Check the request returns HTTP 403 Forbidden.

• Organizational Units and Departments are not exposed for creation or update via the OData API; only limited related entities and assignments are supported.

This is a standard system behavior, as Organizational Units are not exposed for create or update via OData.
Any request for additional properties or extended OData capabilities must be submitted through the SAP Sales Cloud Customer Influence Portal for evaluation and possible implementation in a future release.
