Symptom
This feature adds a one-time consent message that allows or denies access to external services, such as map providers, at login. It enhances security and transparency by ensuring these services are accessed only after consent is given.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Resolution
SAP Service Cloud offers a one-time consent mechanism to manage access to external services, such as third-party map providers. When enabled, a consent message is displayed after login, allowing approval or denial of access to these services.
The selected option is saved and remains in effect until it is changed manually. Features that rely on external services are available only after consent has been granted, improving security and transparency.
The consent setting can be adjusted at any time from the user settings under External Services, where the Allow External Maps option can be enabled or disabled.
To change the user selection later, go to User Menu > Settings > External Services and turning the switch for Allow External Maps on or off.
