Symptom
- The option "Prohibit users from customizing profile templates" is not active.
- End users cannot save changes to their sync settings.
- The warning message displayed is: "The profile was not saved."

Reproducing the Issue
- Log in to the system.
- Navigate to "User Settings" tab > Customization > Sync Settings.
- Make changes to the sync settings.
- Attempt to save the changes.
- Observe the warning message: "The Profile was not saved."
Cause
Resolution
Some profile settings cannot be modified by the end user. This is expected behavior and functions as designed. These settings are controlled by the administrator. If the "Prohibit users from customizing profile templates" option is active, end users will not be able to change any profile settings, like adding a new object. They will see the warning message: Your administrator does not allow you to customize profile settings.
