3696089 - How to disable Time Event Type with geofences in the "Clock My Time" Quick Action on web SuccessFactors

• This KBA explains how to restrict employees from clocking time via desktop using the time event types with geofences.
• Time Event Type with geofences are available in the web as well.

SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking - Clock In Clock Out

1. Create and assign new geofences for the Time Event Type "Clock In" as per the Help Documentation: Geofencing in SAP SuccessFactors
   
2. When employee clock time via mobile, the geofences is working properly and captures the location. 
3. Employee could also use the Time Event Type "Clock In" when clock time via web without verifying the location.
   

Employees can record their time events using the quick action for Clock My Time on the home page. Also, they can provide the geographical coordinates for the location from where they clock their time using the Location Tracking feature.
Location tracking is possible only when the employee is using a mobile device.

Please navigate to the Configure Clock In Clock Out tool -> Settings -> Geofenced Time Events and unselect the option "Show the geofenced time event types on the web application".
When this option is disabled, the geofenced time event types are not shown on the web application.
The Geofenced Time Events setting in the Configure Clock In Clock Out page is disabled by default. 

This ensures that the geofenced time events are not visible on the web application and only available on the mobile application.
