Symptom
- During the process of rehiring a contingent worker as a regular employee, the "Accept Match" button does not appear
- The system generates new employment profiles instead of stacking the rehire record on top of the inactive contingent worker profile.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Contingent Workforce
Reproducing the Issue
- Terminate a Contingent Worker.
- Rehire the CW as a full-time employee using the "Add New Employee" wizard.
- Observe the "Accept Match" button is missing.
- Instead only "Rehire with New Employment" and "Ignore Matches" buttons appear.
Cause
This is an expected behavior where we show 'Rehire with new employment' button instead of 'Accept Match' while we look to rehire a terminated contingent worker using 'Add New Employee'.
Resolution
- When Rehiring a Contingent Worker as a Regular Employee the system, always creates a new employment. Hence the "Accept Match" button that is applicable for Rehire with old employment does not appear.
- Instead "Rehire with New Employment" and "Ignore Matches" appear, this is functionally correct as for a change in employment type; we need a new user to be created and therefore 'Accept Match' button won't be shown.
- And it is expected that when you rehire with new employment, a new separate profile is created and the rehire record is not stacked at top of the ECWK record in the Job Info of the inactive Contingent Worker profile.
