Symptom

This KBA clarifies if a scheduled maintenance activity os required for the Production or Test system can be skipped or cancelled.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Resolution

To inquire about skipping or rescheduling a scheduled maintenance activity, create an incident with SAP Product Support and provide the affected system URL (for example, myxxxxxx.crm.ondemand.com).

The available options depend on the system type:

Multi-Customer (Shared) Systems

  • Scheduled maintenance windows and upgrade activities are managed by SAP.
  • Standard maintenance and upgrade schedules cannot be skipped or rescheduled.
  • Notifications for planned maintenance activities can be subscribed to through the available SAP communication channels.

Private Systems

  • Requests to reschedule an upgrade or discuss maintenance schedule exceptions may be possible.
  • Create an incident under component LOD-CRM-ADM and provide the relevant system details for review.
  • Requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are subject to SAP policies and contractual agreements.
