3696495 - Redirected URL broken when declining Data Privacy Consent Statement - Onboarding

Symptom

  • When declining the Data Privacy Consent Statement, the redirected URL is broken.
  • The link does not open the intended document and displays a "link not found" error.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log in as a candidate.
  2. Decline the Data Privacy Consent Statement.
  3. Observe that the redirected URL does not open the intended document and displays an error.

Cause

The URL configured in 'Manage Data Privacy Consent Statements > Luminous Onboarding Statement V2' exceeds the maximum size allowed by the system, causing the redirection to fail.

Resolution

To resolve the issue caused by excessive link length, it is recommended to utilize a URL shortening service or application. Reducing the character count of the URL will prevent this behavior from recurring.
