Symptom

  • Error “401 Unauthorized” when checking communication to communication scenario SAP_COM_0203 in app Communication Arrangements.
  • Error "OAuth request error: Unauthorized" when trying to request market rate in app Request Current Market Data.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to app Request Current Market Data.
  2. Run the request job and fail with error "OAuth request error: Unauthorized".

Cause

The client ID/URL or other key fields in the service key does not match the one entered in the communication system.

Resolution

Verify whether each value matches between the service key and the communication system, especially the following:

  • "clientid" (service key) with "User ID" (communication system)
  • "url" (service key) with "Host Name" (communication system)
