3696862 - Changing or Hiding the Standard Duration Field in Time Sheet Is Not Supported

For positive time recording users, it is not possible to hide the “Duration” field or modify its default value in the Time Sheet UI. The duration value is automatically defaulted to “1” by system design.

The “Duration” field is a standard field. Its behavior and default logic are controlled at the system code level and cannot be modified through configuration.

As a result, the field cannot be hidden, and its default value cannot be changed or customized using business rules. 

If there is a requirement to enhance the standard product behavior and have this functionality considered for future releases, please consider submitting an enhancement request as described in KBA 2090228.
