3696951 - Cannot approve quote after it was reassigned

Symptom

  • When a quote is in pending approval status and the reassign function is executed, the approver cannot approve or reject the quote.
  • Error occurs when attempting to approve the workflow after reassignment.

Environment

SAP CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a quote where approval is required.
  2. Request approval.
  3. Reassign a new owner to the quote.
  4. Approver should try to approve/reject, error is thrown that action is not available.

Cause

Behavior for reassign action in pending approval status has not been defined.

Resolution

Currently, expected behavior is being determined by Product Management team.

Workaround is to new quote owner retract approval process and submit it again.
