Symptom

ABAP runtime error GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED in program CL_FAR_BS_ITM_REPROC_DPC_EXT dump occurs when attempting to reprocess lockbox items in Reprocess Lockbox Items app.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access the app Reprocess Lockbox Items
  2. Attempt to reprocess a lockbox item
  3. Observe that the system generates the dump GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED

Cause

  • The ABAP runtime error in application Reprocess Lockbox Items usually occurs when you try to process an item that's connected to an already cleared line item.
  • The dump happens to avoid the creation of a posting item based on a cleared item.

Resolution

  1. Review all clearing information to ensure the clearing status aligns.
  2. Reverse the affected items, manually reapply the Allocation Algorithm or Processing Rule, and clear the item within the appropriate timeframe.
  3. Utilize the "Change Status" option to modify the Lockbox Item Status and set the item to "done". This status is reversible, allowing for a general reversal if needed.
